One store closes as two stores open

One Los Altos Center business closes, two open
The Los Altos Center Quizinos sandwich store has closed in what appears to be another causality of on going problems with the Denver based franchise operator.

The Quiznos corporation avoided bankruptcy in January when the sandwich chain shifted corporate ownership to private equity Avenue Capital.

Financial and restaurant industry experts have blamed the  recession and poor management with ongoing problems with the chain.

Quizinos once had 5,000 restaurants, but reports estimate that 40 percent of them have closed.

Meanwhile, two new business have opened.

The e-cigarette Vape Depot at 2139 Bellflower Blvd. is now open.

Also opening across the street at the Los Altos Center North near Chronic Taco is a new Optometry office.
