LA County Sheriff stop at Los Altos Center
ties up traffic
Los Angeles County Sheriff's pursued a driver who was erroneously reported to have
brandished a gun.
At approximately 5:00 pm Wednesday May 13th, over a dozen L.A.
County Sheriff units stopped the suspect at the entrance to the parking lot of the South Los Altos
Center next to Pick-Up
Sticks
(the red car in the photo above).

With
an L.A. County helicopter overhead, North bound Bellflower
Blvd. was closed off and traffic was diverted into
the Los Altos Center at Britton/Abbeyfield by assisting CSULB and Long Beach Police units
causing a traffic back-up to Atherton Street.

No weapon was found in the search of the suspect vehicle by the Sheriff's,
and the driver was released at about 5:30 pm.
