The Monday December 16th police activity at the corner of
Abbeyfield and Bellflower outside of Taco Beach
was related to an arrest for an assault in the North Los Altos
Center
Just before 7 pm on Monday night a male teen was asked to
leave one of the center's retail stores numerous times by an employee after the
teen was seen soliciting customers inside the store.
When the teen entered the store again and when the employee again
asked him to leave, the teen allegedly assaulted the employee and fled.
Witnesses stated that the suspected teen fled with two other
teens southward on Bellflower .
Long Beach Police responded and detained three teens at the
corner of Abbeyfield and Bellflower (outside of Taco Beach
One of the teens, a 16 year old male from Compton , was arrested and booked for battery.
Don't get your hopes up. Unless the police actually witnessed the battery, the city prosecutor will NOT press charges and prosecute. Even if the bad guy confesses to the crime.
