SCE crews trim landmark tree |
Hundred foot Abbyfield Pine
Tree Landmark removed
Over the last two days the 100 foot landmark pine tree that
towered over the Bellflower
entrance to Abbeyfield was removed by two tree crews.

The process started when SCE hired crews trimmed the rear
branches that extended over its utility lines at the back of the property at
5482 Abbeyfield Street
on Thursday December 19th.

The landmark tree which for years appeared to lean precariously over the rear
parking lot of the
Taco Beach property at the corner of Abbeyfield and
Bellflower, now was
lopsided in two directions. The property management company that maintains the Abbeyfield property hired a tree crew to finish the job that SCE started.
